Sam Johnson Landscapes Terms & Conditions

By accepting the quotation, the client is deemed to accept all of the terms and conditions listed below along with the scope of works supplied.

The risk of all goods supplied shall pass to the client upon delivery to site.
All materials remain the property of Sam Johnson Landscapes until final payment has been made.

All surplus materials remain the property of Sam Johnson Landscapes when the work has been completed.

Quotes are valid for 30 days.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm unless specified different.

Toilet and handwashing facilities will be provided by the client unless otherwise agreed.

Extra work undertaken over and above the agreed quote will incur further costs and be agreed either verbally or in writing with materials and labour charged accordingly. Labour charged at £25 per hour per person plus VAT during normal working hours.

Emergencies and out of working hours rate will be charged at £50 per person per hour.

Horticultural operations are very dependent on the weather and season, any work undertaken out of season or in unsuitable weather conditions will be entirely at the client’s risk.

All watering of plants & turf becomes the client’s responsibility once the contract has been completed

It is the client’s responsibility to advise on the position of all services and drains. No responsibility will be accepted for damage caused to mains services and drains that are not notified.

No responsibility will be accepted for the effects of de-icing products, as these are detrimental to the surface of concrete products.

No responsibility will be accepted for the fading of colours due to efflorescence.

No responsibility will be accepted for slight colour variations which occur in concrete and natural products.

Wood is a natural product and is therefore susceptible to certain changes in an outdoor environment. Extremes of temperature or weather conditions will cause a reaction. Certain conditions may cause the products to split, lose shape, warp or swell. No responsibility will be accepted for the above occurring.

Quotes do not include excavation in rock or concrete deeper than 150mm thick, filling of wells, mines or shafts, removal of asbestos, removal of chemicals, removal or grinding of any tree stumps and re-routing of any drains and services unless specified.

Payment is due within 7 days of invoice.

If payment has not been made in full within 14 days from the invoice date interest will be added on a daily basis at 8% above the bank of England base rate on a weekly basis.

VAT is included in all quotes at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated.
